The Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask
This single malt Scotch whisky is distilled at The Macallan in Speyside and aged in a blend of American and European oak casks. The Macallan brings American oak to Spain, where they handcraft casks and fill them with Ololoso sherry. After being flavored, the oak is shipped to Scotland and bottled with new spirit from the Macallan stills. Fifteen years later, the team of whisky masters begins to blend the spirit from both types of casks, creating a balanced, warm, and sweet single malt whisky.
