Why is the Golden Flower Edition of the 17-sounding model more expensive than the regular version?
The four vintages are: Xiang 17 Year Old Double Lion Edition (First Edition), Xiang 17 Year Old Golden Flower Label 99-00, Xiang 17 Year Old Golden Flower Label 00-10, and Xiang 17 Year Old Regular Edition. These four wines have different packaging styles and are from different years. Some people might wonder why a single wine box has so many different labels.
First, there's the "17-Year-Old Double Lion Edition" (first edition) released in 1989. Because of its age, this is the type of wine we often see today that is truly "aged." Suntory later changed the label and box for the 17-year-old. That's why we see the "17-Year-Old Golden Flower Label 99-00" with a gold label and a gold box.
