My first impression of Da Moss was one of elegance and prestige, which stems from its historical origins: the Da Moss distillery was long owned by the Mackenzie family, whose ancestor once saved Alexander III from the clutches of a stag. Alexander III, in return, bestowed upon the family a prestigious stag head emblem, hence Da Moss's stag head logo. There are three key elements to whisky making: water quality, barley, and distillation.
