WhatsApp photo quoteWhen you pick up a bottle of Dalmore whisky, your eye is first drawn to its distinguished twelve-point stag emblem. More than a trademark, it carries more than seven hundred years of Highland history and prominent royal connections. At Whisky Era, we understand the history and honour in every drop, which is why we value and buy your precious bottles.

1263: A Heroic Deed Linking a Family to a King
The origin of Dalmore's stag emblem dates to 1263. During a hunt, King Alexander III of Scotland was attacked by an enraged stag and his life was in danger. At the critical moment, an ancestor of the Mackenzie family bravely intervened, subdued the stag alone and saved the King. To honour that courage, the King granted the family the right to use a twelve-point stag's head in its crest, symbolising the highest royal honour and authority.
Family Heraldry: The Honour and Responsibility of the Royal Stag
Centuries later, when the Mackenzie family took over Dalmore Distillery in 1867, they placed the distinctive stag emblem on every bottle's label. Dalmore therefore uses the twelve-point stag crest granted to the Mackenzie family as its brand emblem. The distinction expresses Dalmore's exceptional quality and prestige, as well as its responsibility to uphold family honour and excellence. Every drop seems to carry a royal dignity.

The Art of Time: Decades of Essence Sleeping Beneath the Stag
Time plays a crucial role in Dalmore's complex, profound flavours. Beneath the stag's protection, its older spirit sleeps quietly in oak for decades. The brand's heritage of more than a century is recorded in the history of the distillery and family, while passing years work like magic to give the whisky extraordinary richness and layers. Every older Dalmore is an artwork written by time and craft. Rare high-age and precious limited editions gather the essence of passing years and the fragrance of history.
At Whisky Era, we buy precious Dalmore whisky and understand its classic story, closely linked to royal heritage and the refining influence of time. If you want a new home where your Dalmore's value is appreciated, we offer professional, transparent service to help it receive the return it deserves.
