Taketsuru Nikka Buyback

Taketsuru Pure Malt, named after Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru, is the most representative whisky in the Nikka series. It is not a single distillery, but a pure malt whisky blended from the heavy peat smoke of Yoichi and the delicate floral and fruity notes of Miyagikyo.

After the discontinuation of the 17, 21, and 25-year-old expressions, the circulation of Taketsuru vintage editions has gradually decreased. Significant price differences can be observed for the 35-year-old, early black label, old Pure Malt, limited edition packaging, and gift sets, depending on the age of the label, box condition, and fill level.

What is most important for Taketsuru valuations?

We will first confirm the vintage, old/new label, bottle volume, alcohol content, and packaging completeness. Older Nikka bottles often have similar appearances, so photographing the front label, back label, neck, and box can prevent misidentification of the version.

Will a batch of Nikka be easier to process?

Yes. Taketsuru, Yoichi, and Miyagikyo are often collected by the same collectors. A batch quote can include discontinued vintages, distillery-exclusive bottlings, and single casks. If you also have other brands of Japanese whisky, you can send photos for all of them at once.

A single bottle of Taketsuru can be valued, but a batch of Nikka makes it easier to see the price differences for old labels, discontinued vintages, and limited bottlings.
