What else do you know about Macallan whisky?
Macallan's characteristic is that it is exclusively aged in sherry oak casks during storage and maturation, resulting in a brandy-like fruity aroma. It is acclaimed by winemakers as the "Rolls-Royce of single malt Scotch whisky."
MACALLAN (Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky) possesses the precious and luxurious qualities of "180 years of history, the world's most precious whisky."

The journey of MACALLAN's production begins in the distant north of Spain. Under the intense sun of Cadiz province, Spain, the outer walls of the oak casks are enveloped in flames, transforming the wood into the essential timber for MACALLAN's maturation. In the Jerez province of Spain, farmers harvest grapes, filling new oak barrels with enzyme-rich grape juice. A few months later, precious aged sherry wine will be transferred into the oak barrels and sealed to mature for 3 years, only then truly becoming MACALLAN sherry oak barrels.
MACALLAN also uses the ancient and precious Golden Promise barley, whose high cultivation costs deter other distillers. However, MACALLAN firmly believes that it is essential for producing whisky with a smooth taste and rich aroma.

At the same time, fresh yeast is blended into every fermentation process to enhance the complexity and character of the whisky. During distillation, MACALLAN only extracts a small portion of the original liquid, which is the "heart of the spirit" that keeps the single malt whisky's rich and saturated aroma.
Afterwards, MACALLAN's experienced distillers carefully observe each "sleeping" oak cask, preparing to choose the right moment to bottle and "awaken" each cask at its peak maturity. Since MACALLAN never adds artificial ingredients, its rich and mellow color comes subtly from the sherry casks, which cannot be compared to inferior single malt whiskies.
MACALLAN offers vintages such as the 12-Year-Old, 18-Year-Old, 21-Year-Old, 25-Year-Old, and 30-Year-Old. Its 18-Year-Old, with its aromatic and mellow profile, rich in dried fruit, spices, cloves, orange, and smoked wood flavors, was once described by The Robb Report as "the best whisky in the world."
