Now let's learn about the three major series of Macallan whisky.

Although Japanese whisky has developed outstandingly, Macallan still holds the top spot, being rated as the highest-grade single malt whisky. Even Jack Ma is a loyal fan of Macallan whisky. While many people have encountered it, most only know the mid-to-low-end range. Now, let's explore Macallan's three major whisky series.

1. Classic Sherry Cask Series
The classic Sherry Cask is Macallan's foundational range and its most iconic product. Most people in China have encountered this series, which includes 12-year, 18-year, 25-year, 30-year, and 40-year expressions. Macallan also created a 1700 series specifically for the Chinese market, including The Archival Series, The Macallan Edition Series, and The Macallan Concept Series, which are three non-age statement whiskies within the Classic Sherry Cask range. Incidentally, the 40-year-old Classic Sherry Cask has become a series that money can't buy, and the 30-year-old is also priced as high as 30,000. For an immediate estimate of the specific buyback price, please refer to the MACALLAN 12-Year Old Version page for current quotes.

2. The Macallan Fine Oak Series
In addition to the classic Sherry Cask, Macallan also incorporated American bourbon casks, giving birth to the Fine Oak series, which includes expressions aged 30, 25, 21, 18, 17, 15, 12, and 10 years. However, due to dissatisfaction from old fans over the perceived impurity of the sherry cask DNA, Macallan had to increase the proportion of original sherry cask spirit, optimizing the Fine Oak series into the Fine Oak Triple Cask Matured series.

3. The Macallan Black Collection
This series includes whiskies exclusively for duty-free channels, such as Rare Cask Black, which showcases Macallan's unprecedented peat and smoky notes, as well as the discontinued Gold, Amber, Sienna, and Ruby, all named after the color of the liquid, with deeper colors commanding higher prices.
